Grilled Roasted Spicy Crab Featured

Say goodbye to warm weather! This is a very popular summer or bbq dish from Sierra Leone. We generally serve it at cookouts, beach outings or just relaxing with family and friends grabbing a cold one.

4 pounds of large crabs

4 tbs olive oil

3 tbs peanut butter

2 tbs tomato paste

1 medium fresh tomato

1 brown onion

1 lemon,

4 cloves garlic

4 red chili,

2 tbs chicken stock

1 Jumbo Maggi Cube

1/4 tsp salt.

½ tsp Old bay seasoning


  1. Combine all the ingredients except old bay in a blender or food processor and blend into a paste
  2. Clean crab by taking out all the intestine and wash in lemon water.
  3. Season crab with old bay
  4. Rub in paste all over crab, cover with cling wrap and marinate for an hour at least or overnight in the fridge
  5. Heat up grill to 325◦F, roast crab on grill for about 4 minutes on both sides or until crab turn into a bright red color.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with chopped parsley and lemon wedge.
