Reunion 257 2016 - The Burundian Reunion, Phoenix AZ

Check out the 2016 Burundians' Reunion 257 event that was held in Phoenix, AZ.

The Burundians in the US are doing something special. And it gets stronger every year. This year's Reunion 257 was held in Phoenix, AZ over the 4th of July weekend. It was a weekend full of activity, including a soccer tournament, after parties and a cultural showcase and round table discussions to crown the weekend.

What's unique about this event is that, according to Annie Irankunda, Reunion 257 President, this event was organized solely on the generosity of the Burundian people in the diaspora and well wishers. That way it became an all inclusive event. It is impressive how they put together enough funds to pull off such a colorful weekend, and we hapy others copy.

From My African Roots Magazine to the Burundians, well done! We'll see you at the next Reunion 257!
